Sudan Photos at Common Roots Cafe
Some of you may have noticed that our site was down for a couple of days. We had some technical problems, but everything seems to have been resolved. We will work to keep the site running and are glad to be back to providing updates about the work of the campaign and child protection in South Sudan.

Just a few updates about the campaign…
First, we are excited to announce many of the photos from our March trip to South Sudan are on display at Common Roots Cafe in Minneapolis until mid-November (www.commonrootscafe.com, 2558 Lyndale Ave. S.) We hope that you will join us for an event to see the photos and to commemorate the one year anniversary of the Save Yar Campaign on Sunday November 9th at 3:00 pm. We will be in the community room at Common Roots (in the back of the restaurant). We will have snacks available, or you can order anything from their excellent menu. All of the photos will be available for purchase and proceeds will benefit the campaign. Please mark your calendars and invite your friends. Hope to see you there!
Second, I am both excited and sad to write that long-time campaign member Tracy Baumgardt will be moving to Washington D.C. tomorrow. From her new home in D.C., Tracy will be continuing in her position as Director of Legislative Affairs with CP International/ Save Yar, and will be working to have an impact on legislation to improve the lives of children world-wide. We are going to miss Tracy at our regular meetings, but are very excited to have a campaign member working in D.C. We feel that this is a great move for Tracy and for Save Yar. We wish Tracy the best of luck!
Finally, we have many new volunteers and interns with CP International and Save Yar this fall. I woulle like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone who is new to the campaign and to thank everyone, old and new, for their hard work!
